Life is a series of chapters. Some shine. Some suck.
One of the things I’ve learned as an author is that how a chapter begins is often very different from how it ends. There are always unexpected plot twists, events challenge our faith and knock us off balance. The old saying that we can’t control what happens to us in our life story, but we can control how we react to it is as true as ever today.
Some of us will be abandoned by false friends when we no longer have perceived power, be betrayed by people we trusted, and get used by people we would do anything for.
But we will also be loved by someone we never expected would come into our orbit. We can forge more meaningful friendships and achieve things we never thought we could do.
We decide whether life is a tragedy or a thriller. All chapters end. The excitement lies in the chapter we are about to write.
