This blog is the result of my adult ADD fascination with the world. I write about what’s interesting to me at any given moment. If I’m sharing advice, I try to research and source it before I spit it back. But don’t take anything I say to the bank. Do your own due diligence before you trust anything that anybody says, especially me.
Now that I’ve disclaimed any responsibility for anything bad that might happen to you as a result of reading this stuff, let me say that I hope some of it interests you and stimulates you to be as inquisitive and irresistibly drawn to the material as I am.
I grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, dreaming of becoming a railroad engineer, a rock drummer and a disc jockey. I earned my BA on the five year plan, before that became the norm, spending more time than I should have on activities outside of academia, code words for not having the best grade point average in my class. But those experiences turned out to be what made the difference in “the real world”. My five decade resume includes broadcaster, corporate executive, entrepreneur, author and administrator. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to check off many of the things on my bucket list and have been blessed with a wonderful family and a terrific support system of great friends.
Like anyone, I’ve shot myself in the foot, screwed up and have regularly demonstrated my imperfections. There have been some bumps along my life’s road, but that’s what makes a roller coaster ride interesting. I try to continually envision the future, live in the moment and not take anything too seriously.
Come join the fun!
