The Emergency Email Network – www.emergencyemail.org – is the largest private provider of messaging services to pagers, cell phones and computer email. Founded in the wake of Hurricane Floyd, the company provides weather alerts, homeland security updates and other critical information to clients in every corner of the nation. I co-founded the enterprise with my partner J.W. “Skip” Tamargo, and our unique public-private model has survived the dot.com bubble as one of the leading opt-in email systems in the country.

Founder / President

The World Beacon

(Jun 1998 — Feb 2000)

I grew up as a fan of short wave radio and had a passion for creating a radio network. I was able to make that dream come true in 1998 when I founded The World Beacon with my friend Ray Davis. The World Beacon was an international short wave radio ministry which dovetailed perfectly with Ray’s existing business of providing television time to signficant ministries here in the States. We were able to create a lean and mean system for aggregating and disseminating radio content using the Internet to send audio files to our uplink site at the BBC in London. The Beeb beamed the shows to transmitters in southern England, South Africa and Russia and we blanketed the African Continent. After we got things rolling, I moved on to my next adventure.
